WHO IS MATTHEW KOMA?
Husband to actress Hilary Duff, 34-year-old Koma is a singer-songwriter from Seaford, New York.
Born Matthew Bair, the singer scored a publishing deal at the age of just 16! Matthew signed with Jimmy Iovine to Interscope in 2011, launching his career as an artist and songwriter. Koma co-wrote the single “Calling (Lose My Mind),” which saw Ryan Tedder on vocals. Likewise, Matthew is also responsible for writing hits for the artist Zedd.
HILARY DUFF AND MATTHEW KOMA’S RELATIONSHIP
Koma and Duff reportedly met back in 2015 whilst working on the Lizzie McGuire alum’s album Breathe In, Breathe Out.
Hilary Duff had split from her ex-husband just one year prior before meeting now-husband Matthew. At the time, a source told US: “Hilary thinks Matt is very talented and cute.”
The pair dated on and off throughout 2017, until announcing the news of Duff’s pregnancy in June 2018. Duff broke the news via an Instagram post, writing: “Guess what guys! @matthewkoma and I made a little princess of our own and we couldn’t be more excited!!!!!!”
The couple’s first child together, Banks Violet Bair, was born in October 2018.
Then, in 2019, Hilary and Matthew got engaged. Hilariously, the actress wrote: “Thanks for the promotion babe”, after their on-and-off-again two years of dating. The two tied the knot in December of 2019.
The following year, the pair announced baby news for the second time! Duff gave birth to their second child together, daughter Mae James, at home in March of this year.
