Trump Burger is taking Texas by storm. It's not a new business for the president, but for a resourceful... immigrant

Donald Trump has built a business empire by making his name famous. There is a man in Texas who is cashing in on the current president’s name by selling… fries and hamburgers. The founder of Trump Burger has opened another location and is patiently conquering the Lone Star State. Interestingly, he is a resourceful immigrant from the Middle East.

President Donald Trump served burgers to the Clemson Tigers of South Carolina and the North Dakota State Bison during his first term in office when they visited the White House in 2019. During the 2024 campaign, he donned an apron and stood at the fryer at a McDonald’s in Feasterville, Pennsylvania. His love of burgers inspired a Texas man who is building a lifelong business by developing a unique chain of restaurants called Trump Burgers. The name is not the only thing that connects the 45th and 47th presidents of the United States.

Trump Burger restaurants, of which there are now four in Texas, are a comprehensive tribute to Donald Trump.

The facades of buildings in Houston, Bellville, Flatonia and Kemah are plastered with posters reminiscent of those from the presidential campaigns, and customers are greeted inside not only by a life-size cardboard figure of the US president, but sometimes also by a look-alike of the head of state, encouraging them to try the specialties from the menu.

The menu, which guests of the flag- and election-related gadget-filled venues will find, is also dedicated to Trump. The menu includes the Trump Burger, but also the Trump Tower sandwich, which consists of, among other things, almost 1 pound of beef, grilled onion, jalapenos, tomatoes, white and yellow American cheese, and lettuce. Chicken fans can try the First Lady Sandwich with grilled chicken breast, white American cheese, tomato, lettuce, cucumber, onion, and mayonnaise sauce.

Republican voters can also laugh at the latest burger item on the menu, the Biden Burger . The nearly $51 sandwich is made with “an old tomato and our oldest bun,” and is actually a joke.

What is not a joke is the genuine sympathy of the owner of the Trump Burger chain for Donald Trump.

The founder of the chain opened its first location in 2020 in Bellville, TX. The business is the brainchild of Roland Beainy, an immigrant who came to the U.S. from Lebanon. He founded Trump Burger out of “admiration” for Donald Trump and “love of American culture,” as we read on the Trump Burger website. “ Despite the strong branding, most reviewers agree: it’s not about politics — it’s about delicious food and a good time,” its creators assure.
