Travis Kelce vs Patrick Mahomes Salary in 2023: Who Will Earn More Money From Their Kansas City Chiefs Contract?

Last year’s Super Bowl winner Kansas City Chiefs are big favorites this season as well. With the exceptional roster they have, it’s no surprise that the team gives excellent performance on-field. Two of the biggest players on the team currently are quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce. However, there’s a huge difference between the salary of the two.

Both Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes have been the Chiefs since the beginning of their NFL career. While the tight end signed his recent contract with the team in 2020, and Mohomes also signed it in 2020. Kelce signed a four-year contract extension.

According to reports, the contract Travis Kelce signed is worth $57 million, with an average yearly salary of around $14 million. The contract also offered $22 million guaranteed. The NFL star himself recently accepted that he is “underpaid”, but he’s still happy with the Chiefs.

“My managers and agents love to tell me how underpaid I am… I’m like, the free market looks like fun until you go somewhere and you don’t win. I love winning. I love the situation I’m in…,” Kelce said.

Patrick Mahomes, on the other hand, signed a 10-year contract extension with a massive $450 million. As per the contract, his average yearly salary stands at a huge $45 million. The star quarterback will earn a base salary of $5 million and a restructuring bonus of $12 million.

The contract’s details of Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce clearly highlight that Madden 24 rating topper Mahomes is much ahead. Though it’s worth noting that both of them contribute to the team with the same passion.

Travis Kelce completed 10 years with the Kansas City Chiefs in June this year. He has been with the team with both of its Super Bowl victories. He made his debut with the Chiefs in 2013 as their 63rd pick in the third round. At that time, he signed a 4-year contract with the team worth $3.12 million, with a signing bonus of $703,304.

After his exceptional performance for the team, the Chiefs signed a 5-year contract extension with him in 2016. Now, he has again signed a 4-year contract extension with the team in 2020. As per the latest $57 million contract, the tight end will be there with the team till 2025. Till now, Travis Kelce has recorded 10344 receiving yards, and 69 touchdowns

Though Kelce is expected to stay with the team till 2025, it won’t be surprising if he signs yet another extension with the team. The star player has made quite an impact in his 10-year NFL career and hopefully will continue to do so.
