Taylor Swift fans are convinced Travis Kelce may have attended his final Eras Tour show. The three-time Super Bowl champ was spotted by eagle-eyed Swifties at her concert in Gelsenkirchen, Germany on Wednesday – just three days before he must report to Chiefs training camp in Kansas City.
This appearance marked Kelce’s 13th attendance at one of his girlfriend’s shows since they started dating last summer. Not only is 13 Swift’s favorite number, but the pop megastar also attended 13 of Kelce’s Chiefs games last season. Swift notably jetted back to the US to cheer her man on to victory against the 49ers in February’s Super Bowl.
Fans have been quick to notice the significance of the number 13 in their relationship. “They both made it to 13 shows/games,” one fan wrote on X on Wednesday. Another reflected on the moments they shared during the tour dates he attended, “The last karma is the guy on the chiefs, the last [archer] during so high school, the last time they walk out together.” A third chimed in, “Trav is there 2 days before he reports to TC…I don’t wanna hear anything about this man not supporting her. They are so supportive of each other.”
Kelce has been busy jetting around Europe with the Love Story songstress this summer – catching shows in Paris, London, Dublin, and Amsterdam. He sent the London fans wild on Night 3 of Swift’s sold-out run at Wembley Stadium when he appeared on stage as part of the back-up dance crew. A 90,000-strong crowd screamed as he swept Swift off her feet and carried her across the stage.
However, recent videos circulating on social media have sparked rumors that Kelce might be growing weary of the constant travel and tour life. In a particularly viral clip, the usually energetic Chiefs star appears to be showing signs of fatigue. Fans captured him looking notably unhappy, bored, and frustrated during one of Swift’s performances, leading to speculation that Kelce is feeling the strain of balancing his support for Swift with his demanding football career.
Kelce’s coach, Andy Reid, recently shook off any concerns about the extra attention surrounding Kelce as training camp gets underway for the upcoming football season. “I think it’s great for him. He can handle it. As a matter of fact, I think he probably loves it to a point. I think there’s a great escape for him,” Reid said of Kelce’s fame.
“I said that about Taylor, too. I mean, she comes to the game, she can kind of escape having to be the show. When he goes to her concerts, she’s the star,” he went on. “That podcast of theirs is ridiculous, so he’s gotten a lot of notoriety for that,” Reid added, referencing the New Heights podcast he co-hosts with his brother Jason.
“He’s an outgoing guy. I mean, he comes into a room, he’s going to light the room up. Everybody’s his best friend. Until you prove him wrong, everybody’s a friend,” Reid continued of Travis. “He can handle it, it’s not something that [he’s] been given that he can’t handle.”
Despite the speculation, the reality is far from the dramatic rumors. The viral video showcasing Kelce’s supposed unhappiness is just a moment taken out of context. Kelce’s commitment to supporting Swift and his passion for his football career remain as strong as ever. The couple’s mutual support and admiration for each other continue to be a testament to their relationship. So, while “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs,” it’s clear that Kelce is far from tired of being there for his superstar girlfriend.
