Travis and Jason Kelce are interested in all the ways one can celebrate Father’s Day — and they’re looking to spotlight uncles this summer too.

The siblings recorded Wednesday’s episode of their New Heights podcast on Sunday, June 16, with Jason, 36, kicking off the podcast by comparing classic American Father’s Day ongoings with differing traditions from various cultures.

“I feel like Father’s Day in the U.S., everybody’s like, barbecue, hang out with your family, Dad gets to, like, not be Dad. But you’re kind of still dad,” the retired NFL player — who is dad to daughters Bennett, 15 months, Elliotte, 3, and Wyatt, 4 — told his brother and co-host Travis, 34.

“I was looking at some of these other countries and maybe what they do … turns out pretty much everybody just does what the U.S. does,” Jason continued. “Everybody [is] kinda just like, ‘Hey, Dad. We’re just gonna give you a bunch of meats that you like to eat and some cool foods and tell you we love you.'”

The former Eagles star noted that his favorite international Father’s Day custom comes from Germany. Per Jason’s description, German men traditionally spend the holiday hiking in groups, “often pulling wagons filled with beer, wine and food,” he explained.

“While it’s a day for men to enjoy camaraderie and the outdoors, it is also a family day for those who prefer to celebrate with their children and loved ones,” Jason said, adding, “I think that’s a badass way to celebrate Father’s Day. You just load up a wagon with f—ing meats and beer and ‘See you guys later!’ Just wander into the woods.”

The Chiefs tight end agreed, “That sounds like your cup of tea.”

The Kelce brothers also shared that there’s a day dedicated to recognizing uncles on July 26, though they realized Travis will be busy with NFL training camp at that point in the summer.

Still, the three-time Super Bowl winner has proven himself an uncle worthy of celebrating. Ahead of the 2023 Super Bowl — in which the Kelce brothers faced off against each another — Jason’s wife, Kylie, told PEOPLE that Travis is the “absolute best” uncle to her girls.

“It’s very funny, Jason said in an interview that he thinks [the girls] might like him more than they like Jason,” Kylie joked at the time.

“I tell everybody, he comes to our house to visit and the poor guy doesn’t sit on the couch because our daughters will be like, ‘No, no, you sit on the floor. We’re gonna do a puzzle. We’re gonna build blocks. We’re gonna do this, we’re gonna do that,’ ” she explained.

Kylie continued, “He’s all-in when it comes to being an uncle. He is the epitome of an uncle, just through and through.”
