Travis Kelce is still getting used to his new level of fame since first dating Taylor Swift as a fan told him that his wife ‘literally she just almost died’ after meeting him.
In a clip posted on TikTok on Sunday, Kelce, 34, was seen walking toward a group of fans in practice gear, asking them, ‘What are you guys doing in my hallway?’ before one of them said: ‘You just took my wife’s breath away, literally she just almost died.’
Unaffected by the unexpected comment, Kelce quickly came up with a witty reply as he told the fan that his wife had simply experienced the ‘Taylor Swift effect’ when she first laid eyes on him, prompting laughter among the group.
Earlier in August, Kelce revealed how much he ‘hates’ being away from Swift, as the couple navigates the hardships of long-distance relationships while they go through their respective obligations: NFL preseason and the demands of touring.
‘Obviously, he can’t skip out on training camp to follow her around and he doesn’t have more than a day off at a time,’ an insider told Life & Style.
‘She’s got tour dates in Europe for the next month before she gets a nice long break, so it would make sense for her to just stay put and finish all her dates and do long distance with him for a few weeks.’
Kelce and Swift’s new (and temporary) relationship dynamic comes more than a year after the three-time Super Bowl champion went to one of Swift’s Eras Tour concerts at Arrowhead Stadium, and publicly revealed he attempted to give her his number.
On July 26, 2023, Kelce explained on an episode of the New Heights podcast that he tried to give the songstress a friendship bracelet.
‘I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings,’ the tight end said at the time.

When his co-host, brother Jason tried to clarify whether his sibling was referring to his phone or jersey number, Travis replied, ‘You know which one.’
Swift later admitted that they went on several dates under the radar before hard launching their relationship at a Chiefs-Bears game last September.
‘We started hanging out right after [the podcast episode],’ Swift told TIME Magazine.
‘We actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other,’ she clarified.
‘I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.’
