Regarding the Kansas City Chiefs, two names immediately come to mind: Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce.
The two have formed a dynamic connection that has helped put the Chiefs in a position to be the first team to win three straight Super Bowls.
They’ve also never shied away from praising each other, but Kelce showed massive love for a Kansas City division rival quarterback.
On the “New Heights” podcast, Travis recapped moments from his recent game against the Chargers, including applauding opposing QB Justin Herbert.
“You can’t tell me that Justin Herbert isn’t one of the best (expletive) QBs in the National Football League,” he said.
Kelce isn’t wrong either, as Herbert has put together an amazing 2024 season so far.
In the Chargers’ 13 games, he has accumulated 234 completions, a 63.9 completion percentage, 2,764 yards, 14 touchdowns, 1 interception and a 98.4 passer rating.
After Herbert’s game against the Chiefs, he joined Tom Brady as the only two players to not throw an interception in 11 straight games with at least 15 passing attempts.
His amazing performance this season has the Chargers at an impressive 8-5 record and currently the seventh seed in the AFC after many had written them off before the season started.
