Novak Djokovic had a memorable 2014 season. At that year’s Wimbledon Championships, the Serb was up against the Swiss maestro, Roger Federer in the finals. In a thrilling see-saw battle, Djokovic prevailed in five sets. It was his second title at the grass-court Grand.
Subsequently, after his Wimbledon title victory, Djokovic tied the knot with Jelena Djokovic. The pair had been dating since 2005 before getting engaged in 2013. The two share a close-knit bond and often share their adorable moments on social media. Recently, the former World Number 1 wished his wife on her 36th birthday.
The 20-time Grand Slam champion took to Twitter to share a sweet message for his wife on her 36th birthday. Sharing their adorable pictures, Novak said, “Happy birthday to the heart of our family! We love you so much @jelenadjokovic!”
Earlier this year, Jelena also had a sweet message for Novak on his 35th birthday. She took to Instagram to wish him his birthday, saying, “That time of the year when we are both the same age. He is catching up with me! Happy birthday to my love @djokernole”
On the tennis front, Djokovic is having quite a turbulent season. He missed the Australian Open earlier this year owing to a visa controversy. Subsequently, he had a miserable run of form, with early losses in Dubai and Monte Carlo. Further, the Serb won his first title this season at the Rome Masters. In the recently concluded French Open, he reached the quarterfinals before losing against Rafael Nadal.
