TJ Reid was all smiles as he celebrated Ballyhale Shamrocks’ latest Leinster Senior Club Championship win at Croke Park on Sunday.
The Kilkenny great was joined on the pitch by his wife Niamh De Brun and their newborn baby daughter Harper.But a run of 1-7 without reply in the space of some eight minutes quickly put a sizeable dent in the deficit and though Reid replied with a free for Ballyhale, an Oisin O’Rorke 65 and a brilliantly taken goal from Alex Considine reduced the margin to just a single point.
However, Ballyhale showed their class to pull clear again as they ran out winners by 2-22 to 2-19 in the end.The couple welcomed little Harper into the world last month, with both of them sharing the news on social media.
