Taylor Swift left her fans “in tears” with the selection of surprise songs she crooned last night in Edinburgh, with her seemingly declaring her love for Travis Kelce through the songs she opted for.
Last night, the 34-year-old hitmaker took to the stage for the second Eras Tour show in Edinburgh. Taylor performed her three-hour-long show – with more than 45 songs from her discography – but it was the surprise songs that really left fans with their jaws on the floor.
The American sweetheart left fans stunned with her choice of surprise songs for the acoustic set. She performed a mashup of The Bolter from The Tortured Poets Department and Getaway Car from Reputation on guitar.
Meanwhile, on piano, she played another mashup, but this time with All Of The Girls You Loved Before from Lover with Crazier from the Hannah Montana: The Movie soundtrack.
Fans have since reacted to the surprise song selection that Taylor opted to perform, with many incredibly emotional. One person who was at the gig penned: “I befriended this really nice girl in the pit who she said her dream surprise song was crazier but that ‘would neverrrrr happen’ and we were in tears together.”
Another added: “Truly an iconic mashup, I am crying somewhere rn.” While someone else penned: “best surprise songs ever i’m crying.”
Meanwhile, many fans pointed out how the songs seemed to “tell a story”, with them seemingly “dedicated” to Taylor’s boyfriend Travis even though she never mentioned his name once. “Those 4 surprise songs just told us a whole ass story,” penned one fan.
Another then shared a snap of Taylor and Travis at Coachella when he picked her up and spun her around, just like the lyrics in Crazier, with the fan writing: “She really dedicated her piano surprise songs to Travis and it’s beautiful.”
A third then added: “Travis Kelce better get on a [sic] flight after that surprise song mash up.” While a fourth said: “aotgylb [All of the Girls You Loved Before] was the first ‘Tayvis’ coded surprise song taylor ever sang on the piano when Travis put her on blast in his podcast now look how far we’ve come.”
