Taylor Swift celebrated her 35th birthday with a well-earned party following the conclusion of her record-breaking Eras Tour.
The milestone came just days after the tour ended, making it a particularly special moment for Swift, who had spent much of her 34th year focusing on both romance and her career, including the release of her tenth studio album Midnights and the announcement of her new project, The Tortured Poets Department.
An insider told Page Six that Travis Kelce spoiled Taylor with “a ton of gifts” during their intimate birthday celebration, which was “just them two.”
A source previously told the publication that Travis had something special planned for his girlfriend’s big day. “Travis has only let a few of those closest to him know what he has in store for Taylor because he doesn’t want to ruin any surprises,” the source explained.
“[He] has been shopping for Christmas and birthday gifts for Taylor for quite a while now,” the insider added. “[He is] not the type to leave these things to the last minute, so he’s been picking up items here and there for the past several months whenever he has a chance.”
The couple reportedly celebrated with a heart-shaped birthday cake from Cami’s Cake Co in Leawood, Kansas. Despite having a mandatory NFL charity event earlier that day, Kelce, also 35, made sure to leave early so he could spend time with Swift on her special day.
A source who spoke to Us Weekly revealed that the Love Story singer enjoys a small, intimate gathering. “She loves a quaint party with her closest friends,” the source said. “Taylor is excited about turning 35,” the insider continued. “She knows she’s accomplished so much.”
This comes after fans observed that Travis seemed frustrated when he missed Taylor Swift’s final Eras Tour performance. Many believe he was eager to leave work in time for her last show but unfortunately couldn’t make it.
Travis has attended the Eras Tour an impressive 14 times, and fans watching his most recent football game were convinced he was eager to leave a post-match interview to see his girlfriend perform instead. Many observers felt that Travis appeared uninterested while talking to the press after the Kansas City team won 19-17 on Sunday.
