Simone Biles Takes a Cheeky Dig at Her Coaches’ “Instagramless” Life After They Get Nominated for a Great Honor

The 2023 USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame class was announced earlier on Thursday. With eight names announced, it’s time to celebrate the contributions of the gymnastics maestro. Along with distinguished others, Simone Biles‘ coaches Cecile and Laurent Landi also feature in the list. Getting honored for their lifelong service and dedication, gymnastics GOAT, Simone Biles, too, extends her regard.

Sharing an appreciation post on her Instagram story, Biles got into her cheeky self. Wishing her mentors in the most fun way possible, Biles shows off her sense of humor.

Biles re-shared the post that was originally posted by USA Gymnastics on their official Instagram profile. Elated with the board’s decision, the 25-year-old bride-to-be wrote, “The best coaches & are so soo deserving.” However, she did not just stop there, getting into her goofy self, she also tried to tag the Landi couple. While she could successfully tag Cecile Landi, she took a cheeky dig at Laurent by addressing him as “ instagramless laurent.”

Unlike his wife Cecile, Laurent perhaps is not so much of a social media person. Hopefully, Cecile will pass on the special message to partner and fellow coach Laurent. For those unversed, the Landi couple is getting honored for coaching the US women’s team for numerous Olympics and World Championships.

Along with them, this year’s honor is also bestowed upon 3X Olympic medalist Danell Leyva, coach Tony Case, Olympian Steven Gluckstein, 2X Rhythmic World Championship winner Jasmine ‘Jazzy’ Kerber, judge Rome Milan, and Vladimir Vladev. Each of these individuals will be inducted on 26th August through a special ceremony. Much like them, Simone Biles is also working actively to promote gymnastics across the masses. Here’s how?

To make gymnastics a common sport and provide more exposure to the youth, Simone Biles, over the last few years, has been hosting the prestigious ‘Biles Invitational.’ An annual event that provides an opportunity for aspiring gymnasts to get exposure. This year the event was held between the 27th to 29th of January. The event was conducted at George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas.

Simone, along with her future husband, NFL star Jonathan Owens, were present at the event. While Biles interacted with fans during the autograph signing session, Owens was seen helping the team. The event had been a great success, and the young fans were delighted to meet Biles. Unlike many of her contemporaries, Simone thus does not restrict herself to just sports. She is also a social activist and a strong advocate of mental health. She was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2022.
