Patrick Mahomes returned to the NFL’s mountaintop in the desert in February and has claimed the player-chosen crown six months later.



Last season, Tom Brady was ranked the No. 1 player heading into the season. Mahomes was 8th




The Chiefs quarterback was named the best player in the league as part of the annual NFL 100, as voted by his contemporaries.

A two-time Super Bowl champion and two-time MVP of that game and the 2018 and 2022, Mahomes is favored to take home the ultimate prize this seasonKansas City open the NFL season, as is custom for the defending champs, vs. Detroit at Arrowhead on September 7.

The other Super Bowl quarterback, Jalen Hurts, came in at No. 3, followed by 49ers defensive end, Nick Bosa.

In fifth, was Mahomes’ favorite target, transcendent tight end Travis Kelce — the ex-Bearcat broke the record for consecutive 100-yard games for a TE (35).

The remaining five inside the top ten were; Bengals QB Joe Burrow, Dolphins’ wideout Tyreek Hill, Bills QB Josh Allen, Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons and Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones.
