NFL star Patrick Mahomes’ fiancée Brittany Matthews shared a shot of their seven-month-old daughter Sterling Skye on Instagram Tuesday, as she posed alongside the family’s dog Silver.

She wrote of Sterling and Silver, ‘These 2 are besties … if this doesn’t make your day idk what will.’Mahomes, who signed a 10-year, $503 million contract extension last year, proposed to his longtime love last year with an engagement ring with an emerald-cut.
In July, Mahomes told People that ‘the hope’ is for the baby to participate in their wedding next March.
‘She’ll be, I think, a little over a year old by the time the wedding happens … so hopefully she’ll be able to be the flower girl and be able to be walking by then and do all that cool stuff,’ he said. ‘But she’ll be a part of the wedding no matter what.’Mahomes, who has led the Chiefs to a 3-3 record through the first six weeks of the season, said that he and Matthews have ‘been doing a great job of’ planning their nuptials.’There’s a lot to do as far as planning a wedding,’ he said. ‘We have a great wedding planner and Brittany’s done a great job of getting things rolling in the right direction with her.
‘And hopefully I’ll have one of the best moments of my life and a great party all at the same time.’
The football star told the outlet about how he and Matthews jointly decided earlier this year to begin sharing images of Sterling.
‘We wanted to kind of keep that stuff personal to us and so we kept some of the photos and stuff like that for a while,’ he told the outlet. ‘And then it kind of got to a point where we had her all the time and we enjoyed being with her so much and we were tired of hiding her from everybody.
‘So it wasn’t that we were trying to show her to the world I guess in a sense, we were just tired of having to hide her everywhere we went. We wanted her to be a part of our lives because she is such a big part of it.’
