Aaron Rodgers tops list of rudest quarterbacks, while Patrick Mahomes lands fourth.
Kansas City Chiefs fans may be rude, but they don’t hold a candle to Philadelphia Eagles fans-at least, that’s what a recent survey of 1,200 NFL fans reveals. The study rated fans, quarterbacks, and head coaches across the league, with some surprising results.
The 2024 NFL season kicked off this Thursday with the Baltimore Ravens visiting the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium.
According to research conducted by AGamble.com, it was a showdown between two of the NFL’s rudest fanbases, with the Chiefs Kingdom ranking ninth and the Ravens Flock sitting at 11th.
Survey participants noted that both Chiefs and Ravens fans tend to drink too much, leading to rude behavior not only toward opposing fans but sometimes even among themselves.
But for all their bad behavior, Kansas City and Baltimore fans can’t compare to Philadelphia. Respondents claimed that the Bird Gang is notorious for starting fights with rival fans and even players, earning them the title of the NFL’s rudest fanbase.
The rest of the Top 5
Dallas Cowboys fans ranked second, primarily due to their tendency to “brag too much” and engage in unsportsmanlike behavior, such as throwing bottles and debris at game officials and opposing players.
Las Vegas Raiders fans took third place. Raiders Nation also has a reputation for excessive drinking, perhaps to forget that they haven’t made it to a Super Bowl in 21 years. They’re also infamous for altercations with other fans.
The New England Patriots fanbase ranks fourth, largely due to their overindulgence in alcohol, while Pittsburgh Steelers fans land fifth for their excessive use of profanity during games.
The survey also ranked the rudest quarterbacks in the league. Aaron Rodgers of the New York Jets tops the list, followed by Deshaun Watson of the Cleveland Browns. Dak Prescott (Dallas Cowboys), Patrick Mahomes (Chiefs), and Lamar Jackson (Ravens) round out the top five.
On the sidelines, Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton was rated the rudest coach in the NFL. He’s followed by Brandon Staley (Los Angeles Chargers), Nick Sirianni (Philadelphia Eagles), John Harbaugh (Ravens), and Mike McCarthy (Cowboys).
