The proud Bostonian disclosed that Durham, aged 45, opted to support the Chiefs, leading Wahlberg to leave the game at halftime and return home to watch the rest with her.
“I was there for almost until the first half, and then I was home within 15 minutes because there’s no traffic in Vegas,” Wahlberg reminisced in an interview with The Kelly Clarkson Show.
“Drove home, watched Usher, watched the second half with my wife, who has now become a Chiefs fan. She turned on our Patriots.”Despite this newfound allegiance, Wahlberg clarified that Durham still holds affection for the Patriots. However, he acknowledged that her admiration for Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs is hard to argue with, noting the team’s impressive track record in recent seasons.
Having won back-to-back Super Bowls, becoming the first team since the Patriots to do so, there is a lot of talk about the Chiefs being a dynasty.
