That’s not the kind of reception Travis Kelce is used to.
Kelce, 33, an eight-time Pro Bowl tight end, tried to catch pop star Taylor Swift’s attention with an elaborate plot ahead of her recent show in Kansas City.
The Chiefs star made a bracelet with his phone number on it with the intention of handing it to Swift prior to her show, he told his brother, Eagles center Jason Kelce, on his “New Heights” podcast that released Wednesday.
“I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings, so I was a little butthurt I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her,” Kelce said.
“She doesn’t meet anybody — or at least she didn’t want to meet me, so I took it personal, but it was an unbelievable show,” he continued, as his brother laughed at him.ason, who squared off against his brother during this year’s Super Bowl, said that Swift, a well-documented Eagles fan, could have still been upset about the Chiefs’ victory over her team.
Travis seemed to understand that the pop star, who has been selling out shows across America, is very busy.
“I’ve only seen Arrowhead filled like that for Chiefs games with that much excitement, and everybody was dressed in pink and purple going crazy for her. It was wild. It was a wild show,” Kelce said.Swift had two shows at Arrowhead on July 7-8.
Kelce is coming off his seventh consecutive season in which he recorded at least 1,000 receiving yards, a remarkable run during which the Chiefs have also won two Super Bowls.
