On Friday, 14-time Grammy-winning artist Taylor Swift celebrated her 35th birthday.
But it’s what she did in the preceding days that is making headlines. The day before her birthday, Swift made a surprise appearance at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City.
The record-setting artist spent time with a few special patients and their families, posed for photos and recorded TikToks – and handed out incredible gifts. One young was gifted a Dyson Airwrap, which retails for $600, just “in case Santa doesn’t come through.”
Details of Swift’s birthday remain scarce, but a new photo of her with boyfriend Travis Kelce emerged as the couple celebrated a recent Kansas City Chiefs win.
Travis’ father, Ed, revealed his plans for Swift’s birthday gift and made it clear he wasn’t going to break the bank – because that doesn’t matter to her.
“You have to look beyond that and you have to dig down and come up with something special. The amount of money is meaningless,” he said. You’re not going to impress Taylor Swift with a gift that cost $100,000. But get something that tweaks the strings of her heart that you spend $10 on and she’ll just be all gooey. … You’ve got to find something that triggers the emotions.”
After putting the finishing touches on her nearly two-year, 149-concert, $2billion tour, Swift and Kelce have their post-birthday plans lined up and ready to go.
For now, though, the Chiefs tight ends’ sights will be set on the Cleveland Browns, who host the Chiefs on Sunday afternoon.
