Coco Gauff said her parents want her to attend college

Coco Gauff at the college! At least, this would be the hope of the parents of the young US tennis star.In a recent interview, the Western & Southern Open winner was asked if she had ever thought about continuing with her studies and academic career. She explained: “Yeah, definitely.

I think my parents always, they still want me to, like, do college classes. I’ve been pushing it off, so I don’t know what that’s going to entail. Hopefully they don’ t see this. Next year, next year. It’s been a year. I think for me, they always express the importance of knowledge.

I still 100% support people going to higher education. I still want to do it for myself. I’ I’m just not in the mentality to take that on yet. I think for me as a kid, I always want to improve and get better. Even when I would write essays and get good grades, I was a teacher’s pet, to be honest. I always strived to be better. I think that’s kind of a social awareness.”

The number one threat to Iga Swiatek in view of the quarterfinals at the US Open 2023 could be Coco Gauff. The American won the first 1000 in Cincinnati by beating the tennis player from Warsaw in the semifinals. Gauff may have Mirra Andreeva, Elise Mertens, Magda Linette and Petra Kvitova in her path. The Czech could find Caroline Wozniacki in the second round. The top half of the main draw ends with Elena Rybakina, Victoria Azarenka, Belinda Bencic, Karolina Muchova and Maria Sakkari.

The Kazakh will be forced to start strong immediately, because she will play against Marta Kostyuk in her first match. Muchova, for her part, should meet Beatriz Haddad Maia and Sakkari starting from the third round.Much better fared for Aryna Sabalenka, whose path will begin with Maryna Zanevska.

The first real pitfall could arise in the third round in the sign of Karolina Pliskova, finalist at the US Open in 2016.Daria Kasatkina and Donna Vekic populate the same eighth as Sabalenka, while in the quarterfinals fans dream of watching the remake of the Wimbledon semifinal with Ons Jabeur.
The Tunisian will try to confirm her excellent feeling with New York and will make her first match against Camila Osorio.Watch out for Marketa Vondrousova, champion a few months ago at Wimbledon, who happened to be in the same portion of the draw as Ekaterina Alexandrova, Caroline Garcia and Jessica Pegula.
