The British star said that the NFL was more ‘enjoyable’ thanks to Swift’s appearances.
Adele has defended Taylor Swift for supporting Travis Kelce at the 2024 Super Bowl by urging naysayers to “get a f***ing life”.
The Hello hitmaker told concert-goers at her Las Vegas residency over the weekend that she was cheering for the Kansas City Chiefs because of Swift and insisted that the American superstar’s presence has made the NFL more “enjoyable to watch”.
The 35-year-old told the audience: “I think I want the Chiefs to win just because of Taylor Swift’s boyfriend.
Before adding: “All of you that are complaining about Taylor Swift being at games get a f***ing life. It’s her f***ing boyfriend!
“It’s actually made it a bit more enjoyable to watch, because like I said I have no idea what’s going on.”
Swift’s romance with Kelce has been credited with generating greater global interest in the game, particularly among women.
The pop superstar jetted in from Japan, where she’d played at the Tokyo Dome as part of her Eras Tour, to get to Las Vegas in time to watch Kelce play at the Allegiant Stadium.
Despite the potential jeopardy, Swift arrived at the stadium in good time in an all-black outfit with a red jacket draped over her shoulder. She was joined by actress Blake Lively, rapper Ice Spice and her mother Andrea Swift in the stands.
During the match, the Shake It Off singer was seen talking to NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, while Kelce’s mother Donna was also sitting in the box and his brother Jason opted for Chiefs-themed overalls.
