Taylor Swift fans were left mystified on Saturday after mysterious figures were seen dancing on top of Wembley Stadium on the second night of her Eras tour.
Troubled Swifties were baffled by a group of three people stood watching and dancing along to the American megastar as she took to the stage for another adrenaline-fueled night of her sell-out tour.
Videos began emerging on social media around half way through the show of the trio seemingly enjoying the singer’s performance from the vertigo-inducing spot.
Some fans claimed they were security guards or even drone spotters, while others joked they were Taylor’s former partners Joe Alwyn, Scooter Braun and Matty Healy.
But the arena later revealed the group were ‘pre-approved professionals’ who were part of the pyrotechnics team for the event.
A Wembley Stadium spokesperson told MailOnline: ‘We can confirm the individuals on the roof of Saturday night’s performance of Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour were pre-approved professionals as part of the pyrotechnic team, equipped with full safety equipment.’
Despite the absurd height, the team seemingly enjoyed the best view of the concert as Taylor returned for a triumphant second night at the arena for her Eras Tour.
A host of A-list celebrities including Mission Impossible star Tom Cruise, Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis and Hugh Grant were among thousands of Swifties who descended on the capital on Saturday.
Travis Kelce was also at the venue for a second night in a row to support his popstar partner, while his brother Jason and his family were also spotted eagerly making their way into the stadium.
On Friday, the American megastar sent the capital into a frenzy as she delighted almost 90,000 fans with renditions of Hits Different, Death By A Thousand Cuts and The Black Dog.
Ms Swift’s first show in London was always going to be special for her as she shares a close affiliation with the capital after she called it her second home for the six years she was dating British actor Joe Alwyn.
She performed to nearly 90,000 adoring fans at a sold-out Wembley Stadium last night and was clearly overwhelmed by the huge crowd
During the show she said: ‘Oh my God, London, look what you’ve done. What better way to spend a Friday night than in the most exhilarating city in the world?’
And once the show had finished one family got to share a very special moment with the American megastar.
A sweet selfie taken by Taylor showed the moment the Queen of Pop met fellow royalty as Prince William, Prince George and Princess Charlotte posed with her backstage.
The Love Story singer’s NFL beau Travis Kelce also smiled for the photograph while wearing his Team USA Olympics hat.
Although the selfie was truly star-studded, royal fans were only drawn to Charlotte.
With her pink sparkling dress, plaited hair and wide toothy grin, people could not help but compare the young princess to Queen Elizabeth II.
One royal fan wrote on X: ‘Fantastic photo! Princess Charlotte is so like her great granny, the late Queen.’
Another gushed: ‘OMG. Princess Charlotte looks more and more like our late Queen.’
Someone tweeted: ‘She is developing into a beautiful young lady who so resembles both her late great grandmother the Queen and her father, the Prince of Wales.’
One user pointed out: ‘I don’t think I’ve ever seen a photo of Princess Charlotte looking so happy. That’s so sweet!’
Princess Charlotte, 9, attended the glitzy concert with her brother Prince George, 10 and her father Prince William – who whipped out some hilarious ‘dad dancing’ moves to celebrate his birthday.
The Prince of Wales was captured grooving along to hit song Shake it Off.
Comments posted on X, formerly Twitter, in response to footage of William dancing included: ‘This is my favourite thing ever!!! I never knew I needed to see Prince William dancing to Taylor Swift!’
Another poster wrote: ‘Prince William is a Swiftie. Immense dad dancing there.’
Prince William and megastar Swift have long known each other – the pair shared the stage at Kensington Palace to perform Livin’ On A Prayer with Jon Bon Jovi at a charity event in 2013.
And it seems the Prince of Wales has remained a Swiftie since.
Friday’s show came after the military band at Buckingham Palace performed a rendition of Shake It Off to mark the Eras Tour arriving in the UK capital for three nights this weekend ahead of another five in August.
The 90,000-strong crowd also included fellow royals Zara and Mike Tindall as well as Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer.
Starmer posted on X that he took a ‘Swift campaign pitstop’ to enjoy the concert with his wife Victoria.
