For Reid, his wife Tammy, and their four surviving children, there can be nothing but bottomless wells of heartfelt sympathy. Nothing can be said to alleviate the pain and heartbreak that will live with Andy Reid and his family the rest of their lives, and nothing can change what happened in that dorm room Sunday morning.

That said, it is not acceptable to jump to the conclusion that Garrett Reid died Sunday because of a drug overdose, a bad drug, or other chemical factors.
